Pedro Bianchi Prata successfully completed his participation in the bp Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal, a World Rally-Raid Championship event organised by the Automobile Club of Portugal (ACP), riding a fully electric motorbike.

In a race that brought the world’s elite Rally Raid competitors to Portugal, and which is the only W2RC event held in Europe, Pedro Bianchi Prata focused on developing his new STRiX, an electric motorcycle from a new-generation European manufacturer, successfully overcoming all the enormous challenges of this demanding competition, which was marked by extremely adverse and challenging weather conditions.

“Mission accomplished. The aim was to test things, try out new ideas, push the bike to its limits, and that’s exactly what we did. It wasn’t easy, it took many days of hard work, both for me and for the many people behind this project. Thanks to STRiX, who came here to understand the scale of this project and just how far we want to take this bike. Thanks to Edmtech, who are starting to develop the batteries, which will allow us to have greater range in the next race, and congratulations to the ACP for putting on an excellent race, very well organised as always. “Now all I want is to go home; I’m already missing my wife and son terribly,” said Pedro Bianchi Prata after the final leg of the bp Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal, which started and finished in Loulé and featured a 101-kilometre timed special stage, plus a 2-kilometre super special stage.
